Hmmm I just realized that I cut the background and white from the background material! Thinking I may not wish to go cut the white and just use the background in the snowflakes! and when the blocks are finished maybe embellish with some blue stitching around the block and background. Would that be ok ???

There is no quilt police looking over your shoulder. It is your quilt.....do it however you like. Making this quilt is supposed to be fun not stressful.

Sounds good to me! I have a cream for background and really don't care for cream and white next to each other, so I will either use the background fabric where the white is suposed to go or another color all together.

No quilt police at all, it's your quilt, you decide how it looks! :D

That's absolutely correct, no quilt police. Make it exactly as you want it to be! If you look at how others have interpreted their rows, you'll see several different approaches and variations. have a fun!
    Kind Regards,
    MaryAnna

They do end up being extremely small pieces!!! My seam was just under 1/4". I had some trimming to do afterwards, but not a lot.

It's so good to see so many of us doing this. Can't wait to see more pictures. Here's my March. I changed the stems as I love applique and wanted them curved so I made my own bias.

    Only 20 days til April.

    :P
