Well, I have been lagging for the last couple of months. I've had too much company and not enough time to sew.

I tried to make the July block look like fireworks, as I'm a Canuck so couldn't do the red/white/blue thing. I wasn't successful, but will try to enhance when it's time to quilt it.

For August, I have become a rebel. I didn't have the right colours to do the hot sidewalk and I want this to be a stash quilt so I went with something that didn't require buying fabric.

Texasgranny, ligia and wildyard I LOVE what you've done.

I should be finished mine in a couple of days and will post pictures then.

Looking forward to seeing what the rest of you come up with.

    Janie

This looks like a great way to use up scraps. I've not done a monthly block quilt before and this one looks like fine. I love what you've done so far. Thanks for attaching the link...

Hi Nancy, it's a row of the month instead of a block of the month, and we are having a great time with it. Feel free to jump right in with us, we'd love to have you!! We have a great group working on this project together, tho some are not very quick to share their photos, lol. Just kidding folks!!
    Hugs and smiles!!! Linda

JanieW: Your August umbrellas are just too cute. I might copy you. . .

Just checked out the site you mentioned. It looks like a neat project. I think I might try it after I get my current projects done, one of which is a mystery quilt that I'm having difficulty with :(

I'll bet everyone thought I forgot about this BOM and all of you! Never! I've got my new baby (Bernina) now, so I've been quilting again! Now I'm caught up once again...yea!
I did another applique for September- it was more reminiscent of fall apple picking or visitng the farmer's and buying a peck of apples...a little more 'rustic'.
    Kind Regards to all!

well done MaryAnna!! At least your apples look like apples. I am debating the pattern they gave us. I haven't decided yet what to do. I'm kind of waiting to see what others post here to get some options. Hugs and smilessss!!!

Hey roseofSharon & Wildyard.... thanks for all the kind words. To me Autumn is special (my favorite time of the year!), and I've always visited the farms, gone apple picking, and just enjoyed the 'harvest season' from very young 'til now. So to me September needed to be special. I didn't care for the block given, so I thought I'd do it justice with simplicity. I hope I've captured the feeling of Autumn.
    Hugs to you all!
    MaryAnna
