You're doing great! Don't get discouraged! Susieallaboutquilts is right-do a quick project or read a book and come back in a week or so. Don't try to rush or it gets worse! You mess up and ripping out takes longer than sewing right the first time! As most of us know.

I can relate. I just finished one, but I didn't use square blocks . I made the 2x5. I was a challenge for me and I my sister, Barb,Mo. was helping me. Without her I dont know when I would have finished it. I started on with 2" squares and it went in the scrap bag.lol Keep going. It is beautiful so far.

I wish I had used bigger blocks. I had one all picked out to do that was a rectangle, and a quilter friend aimed me this direction. If I do another, it will be with bigger blocks.

Of course you can do this! Just think - when I made my first quilt (also a Trip Around the World), I did it all by hand. I cut all the squares by drawing around a template and then cutting with scissors (rotary cutters hadn't been introduced yet). I pieced it by hand, starting with the center square and adding squares all around, and then put it on Grandma's quilting frame and quilted it by hand. So whenever you think you're running out of patience - think about how much more you'd need to be doing it the "old-fashioned" way!

You go girl! That is beautiful and is going to be one beautiful quilt! You can't give up now, you've one too far! That's what I always tell myself, you've got too much into it to stop now! I just love the black and white cat in your avatar, had one that looked a lot like that!

sometimes you just have to take a break! Either no quilting at all for a few days, or work on a different project. I get bored with projects too, and find I am much happier to work on them when I take some time away whether it is a couple of hours or a few days to weeks. :) You are doing a beautiful job! Keep up the good work!!

If it was easy every one would do it. That is why quilts are passed through generations.

Your work so far looks great. Keep going. :)
