Hot off the machine - Pink Snowman Cushion !
#1
Combining Cross-stitching and patchwork.
I finished the stitching last Sunday - and as I had the machine out playing with fabric and Ohio Star piecing, (at least that's what I think that pattern is called), grabbed 3 fat quarters and put this cushion top together. I'd already decided that I wanted the stitching to be off-centre, and I think the blue really picks up the hot-pink fabric. It doesn't matter that the colours don't match my house! It makes it stand out all that much more!
I played with a bit of crazy patchwork for the back of the cushion with the scraps, because I just don't think it's right for a back of a cushion to be all one fabric. Only the pink buttons fasten it up, the white ones are for decoration. I need to get more polyfill for the cushion to get it to fill properly, but Happy Dance for me!!! another finish!!!!
