My last lap quilt and right now it measures 48x60. I could add a small border. If so what would you suggest and also I am wondering about the binding choice. I am really stumped as this is pretty busy. The backing is a deepish yellow color. Thanks for any ideas.

Maybe bind in the tan. It is neutral and will not steal the limelight from the brighter colors and still go with the yellow backing.

I think I would do a narrow border of one of the more solid colors. Audition them and see what you think.

Do you have enough of your backing to do a small border and then bind with one of your prints.

I think I would go with a dark brown 2 1/2 inch to frame it then I would make a 3 1/2 inch border of one of the plaid than the binding using the dark brown.

How about bind it in the light green?
Please show us what you decide!

I agree with buckeyed. I think a tan would work well.

I would use a narrow border of one of the colors in the quilt.
