saw a log cabin at a quilt show and they did a 'split the log' quilting where I think they stitched in the ditch and then split the difference. Want to try that for this one for my grandaughter. any opinions?

this is the body of the quilt and will add borders later

I love the colors!! I think that would be a neat way to quilt a log cabin.

I don't think I know what you mean by split the difference...but I love the quilt. The colors are so bright and cheerful!

the way I saw it, they stitch the ditch and then went up the middle. My fear is it will make it too stiff

Oh, ok. I get it...Depending on how wide your logs are, stitch in the ditch might be plenty. You could try a sample block and see if it seems to stiffen it too much.

Wonderful colors!! I think I would stitch in the ditch and if I felt it needed more I'd do the other.... :-)
