This is a quilt I made about two years ago for my daughter's birthday. She is really into the autumn colors. I found the most beautiful fabric for the middle of the blocks. It has metallic thread in it. I wish I had used it in a larger area though but I have enough leftover to use in another project. I never did get it quilted until she dug it out of my room and made me quilt it for her. I was procrastinating because I don't quilt bigger quilts on my machine too well. But when pointing this out to her, she saw that the pattern had it quilted with just one line down the center of each 'log' so I thought "I can do that". And I did! LOL The pattern was in the Fall 2009 Easy Quilts magazine (and on the cover).

    The whole quilt

It is great! Good for her for giving you a shove. I think the quilting is perfect for this block and this setting.

I love the colors... I haven't ever done a log cabin... that pattern has me tempted.

That's very pretty. You did a good job quilting it and I also love the center fabric.
