I'm not sure if this is the proper section to post this in, but here goes anyway. Recently, QB.com User ForestHobbit sent me a PM since we are both from San Jose, CA. It turns out that we live very near to each other and shop at the same LQS. Since I was taking a beginning PP class yesterday at said LQS and she needed to make a purchase, we thought that was the perfect place for a meet and greet and then lunch. Lunch turned out to be 3 hours of amicable chatting. I think we have lots in common, and we think a lot alike, too. It was a jolly good time, and plans are now to jointly try out a weekly Senior/Community Center Quilt Club together, and perhaps exercise classes, too. So, thank you QB.com for playing a role in bringing people together both over the internet and in person. Here's a pic of us in the LQS behind some bright fabrics.

I go to Eddie's on occasion, too. Also Quilter's Nest, and a few others. Thursday is a quilt show at San Mateo fairgrounds. I'm going alone (as opposed to taking my neice who looks "fast", then wants to leave). I want some serious shopping and browsing time, and alone is the best way this time. Thanks for the post. Do you miss the Bay Area at all?

Oops, see next post. Don't know how I did that.

This shop is Prairie Queens on Camden & Union. Do you know the shopping center with the OLD fashioned sign with the merry-go-round up high in the air? Bowling alley is also in there.

Do you miss the Bay Area at all? Did you ever go to the shops in Morgan Hill?
