Default New Technique: Pastel over FMQ on Art Quilt

Come see the effect of pastels over FMQ. I made this quilt in 2007. The flower petals were not quilted. The quilt looked very flat. The flower centers did not have the stamen, and other details. I added all of those and was surprised the most at what the addition of oil pastel to the FMQ did. After finishing, I let it air dry and then ironed with a white cloth over the top. They will not be washed, so that is not a concern. The picture below is just a sample. Thanks for looking.

Very realistic with a 3-D effect. Using oil pastels makes your work just pop. Love the white you added for the light effect.
