It's beautiful Craftybug! I think I would make a triple border with the floral in the middle & solid burgundy on either side, with the solid parts being narrower. To me the solid would 'stop' the pattern & frame it & the floral would make it pop!

I would close the chains with a narrow dusty rose colored border and then do the floral for the outer border. :)

Hi, I took all your suggestions and here are some samples of them. I did not have burgandy so I used the white so picture it in burgandy. Here are 3 pics.

one is thin flower strip to close the blocks the white strip with the color squares and the bottom strip is the flowers, maybe with yellow or white for the binding.

one is wide flower strip to close the blocks followed by a wide white strip with the color squares, binding would be flower fabric.

one with a not so wide flower strip to close the blocks followed by the not to wide white strip with the color squares, binding would be with the flower fabric.

Guy's is time to vote for your favorite.
