Goodness! What an outpouring of support and praise! I'm overwhelmed...! Thank you all!! :-P

To answer your questions:

~ They're hung with clear pushpins at each corner.

~ The majority are just a single block of something I liked. Found my ideas in books, online sites, here (!), etc.

~ I'd seen someone make single blocks and frame them, which looks really cool, but then I'd be back where I started. I'd also considered making the final border much wider and then putting the block on stretcher bars. But that seemed like too much work  and I wanted to make everything from what I had on the shelf.

~ Now that I've seen them in daylight, I still like them, but I'm having to get used to their "flatness." [The old frames were about 1-1/2" thick.] I was pleased to see that they look good in daylight, too. 8)

Thanks again for your compliments. I don't get a lot of visitors to my bedroom ;), so not many folks would be likely to see them otherwise.

It looks great. I like your idea of a grouping. We don't have anything over the bed for that same reason (earthquakes) I started a quilt to hang over my bed about 6 years ago. It has been waiting 6 years for me to quilt it!!!! Maybe I will finish it and add a couple of smaller ones to hang with it.
Of course we have large bookcases on either side of the bed, full of books. We only have earthquake straps on the tallest one. If we have a bad earthquake, I will be hit with a bookcase full of books!!!
