Default New York....here they come !

I have been quite quiet on the board recently...life has been hectic and I have done far less sewing than planned....but my daughter is in a show choir here in the UK and they have been asked as guests to come to New York in March 2013 and perform.....they are all so exciting and trying really hard to fund the trip....there is about 30 of them ages between 13 and 30.
About six weeks ago my daughter Caroline asked if I would make a vintage style double quilt to be sold at an auction night to help raise funds....so amongst the madness I said yes.....it involved quite a few late nights and I finished it just in time for tonights auction....nothing fancy but I have had such fun making it......has really got me back into quilting, can't wait to start my next project and even though life is still hectic I feel so much happier....I have so enjoyed it........and the best part was there were quite a few bids and it sold for $170......I am totally amazed.....the whole evening was a great success and raised lots of money .........one step closer to New York

Not fancy but beautiful. How wonderful of you to say yes when you were so busy.

Very lovely quilt. Congratulations to your daughter's show choir being invited to NY. I am sure they will make it.

I personally think it's worth lots more than $170. Bet they'll have a ball in New York.

Is your quilt made of Moda fabrics? I can't believe someone was able to buy it for $170.00!! I think it is beautiful! I'm so happy for your daughter and I know she is really excited!!
