I was going through my old photos and found a quilt I made from fabrics that reminded me of Monet's work.

It hangs on the wall of a little girl's room somewhere.

I tried to showcase the fabric, so there's no real design.

The other one is a class I took at my fabric store. I had bought like four yards of Laurel Burch's Mythical Horses fabric and was looking for a way to showcase it. That was the class!

Thanks. I'm still looking for pictures to brag about. The horse one I used scraps for. I had to piece the back because I didn't have enough fabric.

I didn't sew binding on it, just turned it inside out. It was real fun trying to make the front and back pieces have an equal fake binding, so to speak.

I had to do a lot of improvising.

And, when I finished it, I folded it up and put it on top fo the washing machine and my cat pee'd on it. I washed it and dried it and put it away. It's one I'm keeping for myself.

Chrismas anyone?

Walmart sold this like metalic fabric and this see-through Christmas fabric. I overlaid the see through fabric over the metalic fabric and sewed up a basic stocking and then boxed up homemade gingerbread cookies and put the boxes in them and gave them to all the cousins.

I keep a computer "scrapbook" of all these things.
