Default The Next Quilt

I wanted to make a quilt with some material I had on hand and I had the pattern but I needed more material. So I go to the quilt store and I buy several different pieces material. The woman at the quilt store helped me pick out the material and I only bought small amounts - 1/4 yard. Now this quilt is mind boggling because it is overwhelming to think about and I am not sure I like it but I am going to forge onward and make it with what I have. I have a start.

Oh that will be neat when finished. Do you mind sharing the name of the pattern?

I love the blocks but personally don't care for the striped fabric, but that's just me.

I like the blocks so far. Keep going. I agree with pocoellie. The striped border I don't like. To dark for the blocks, needs something lighter to get the blocks to pop. Just my opinion.

Oh I love what you have so far, including the dark stripe in the background. IMHO that dark stripe recedes into the background drawing the viewers attention to those fabulous blocks. What a great way to use Asian prints.

Thank you very much for posting your top in process! Love that dark stripe in the background!! You gave me an a-ha moment when I saw your top. Been wanting to make a top where the circles look like they are layer. You have inspired me!

I totally agree with feline fanatic and bobbielinks. The stripe fabric is great in the background for the reasons stated above. See how everyone has different opinions. Go with what you like.
