Talk about a Ufo story. That is one for the books.

Wow that is truly a labor of love. I definitely would not have enlarged it though. You get major kudos and karma points for that one! The quilt is awesome BTW. I love your sun/moon combo and the quilting on it is just faboo.

Also I have to comment on Igor, 16 YO?!?!?! Wow! You are to be highly commended, he looks awesome for being such a senior. Is he a himilayan or a ragdoll? Hard to tell from the pics.

Terrific quilt! And to add-on to it? Wow! You get the award for best grandma!

Gorgeous quilt. You did a great job. And isn't it amazing what we will do for the grandkids? I'm on quilt hiatus making doll clothes, doll sleeping bags, and pillow case dresses because they think Grandma can "whip it up" or "stitch it up"!!

Very pretty, I think it was a lot of nerve asking you to add to it. I sure hope all your time and work was appreciated. Great job.

WOW!!! What an adventure this turned out to be!!! You are an awesome grandmother you are, so very accomodating. The quilt is fantastic......love the designs and colors. The restructuring that you did appears to be intentional to the design of the quilt.

I think it is lovely! Igor obviously approves too. I will admit, that as a Gramma who quilts/sews I do try really hard to fulfill the requests I get. However, sometimes mine look like I ripped and added - not so with yours! Without the tale being told I would have NEVER EVER GUESSED! It really is pretty!!!

Amazing! The quilt and the fact that you ripped out stippling and redid it. You definitely went above and beyond. You should write down everything you went through and give it to your grandson when he's 20. I would love to know what my grandma went through when making my quilt when I was 5. It would make it all the more special.
