Remember that I had decided to make some baby quilts loosely based on childhood nursery rhymes? Well, I have a second quilt finished, based on "Jack be nimble, Jack be quick." I started out making a bargello, thanks to you all, but got tired of it very quickly. In fact, I couldn't get past the first set of strips. That means baby quilt to me. This is the final result.

Thanks for looking!

It's adorable!

As someone who's made a few (3 small) bargello quilts recently, I admire your sense of color and contrast. I also like your quilting.

That's adorable.

My brother and his wife are due some time in Sept. (as far as they know) but I have not heard yet if they know what the sex is yet. They were gonna find out as soon as it was possible. Something like this would be great, but I dont know if I am capable of something like this just yet. I'm still learning.

It is a lot easier than you think. You can do it! and you have plenty of time :)

I was thinking boy when I made it, although I decided to use blues simply because I have so much blue. Every piece came from the stash! I had a great idea for a large quilt but I don't think I can make a bargello......just too involved for me to stick with it long enough. They are so pretty that I'd love to finish one, but I don't know.....
