Oh, wow! I love your quilt! I went to your quilting group's website and I want to come out there and visit you all!

It looks like you live in paradise.

Izy, don't know why it took you so long to get motivated to do the other half. This quilt is gorgeous! You inspire me (although I doubt if I'm ready to take on a project this big!) I love your flying geese border and your swag border. You have a wonderful artistic sense!

Great choice for a first quilt. You must have learned lots along the way. I 'm eager to see what #2 is like. It sure puts my #1 to shame.
That view is wonderful.

Harmony....I have been doing 'other' projects...namely the Clematis wallhanging for my mum and recently the crumb block quilt etc......

I was waiting for quilting thread to come back from the U.K. as I am using a random thread and got into a panic as I was running out....so I mentally switched off from it for a while and enjoyed working on something else, but now I am trying not to get tempted by any of the other wonderful patterns and quilting ideas that I see on here- hence the title of the topic...

Beautiful quilt! It sure makes my first one look like a first-grader made it ... Way to go!
And I loved the pictures of your area, too.

Sure Patrice.....maybe we can do a 'swap'...as long as I can hop over to Alaska too!!!! :D :D - hey you hear all the time about people doing house swapping....just imagine...exchanging houses, otherside of the world but still being able to quilt...as long as you don't mind using my machine that is - Oh and it has its own table on wheels and you can just take it outside and stitch in the warm sunshine..then wheel it into the outdoor summer lounge, if you get too hot!!!!  ...You tempted then?????????
Izy there was a movie on that some time ago.. Also the author Maeve Binchy wrote a book called Tara Road about house swapping.. hmm could be fun!!
