That's exactly what I thought. I can remember my great-grandmother braiding rugs and she always used what she could find so the colors were never matched. And they wore like iron!!
Exactly what my reaction was when I first opened the thread and saw the picture. NIcely done!!

I know you can do whatever dimensions you want for this, however, might I ask what size was your first long strip? # WOF strips used? Finished size?

I like this a lot ... more interesting than the Jelly Roll Race quilts.

Really like this one! I have been interested in doing the Strip Log Cabin on Missouri Star Quilts - UTube. (new) Yours is very similiar with a braided rug look! Thanks for sharing.

Funny :!: That's exactly what Quilt Shop Jerry said! you're both right -these wonderful noodles I recieved from the swap really have a nice warm "homey" feel.
