Default North Pacific, scrappy quilt

This quilting has just been completed. The pieced pattern is based on a Janine Holzman design called North Pacific, which appeared in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, Sept. 2006. The quilting pattern is a variation of the classic Orange Peel.
I am pleased with this quilt and I'm looking forward to binding it. It is 72" square.

Very pretty and especially love the boats and whales around the inside of the border.

This is a beautiful quilt and the quilting sets it off so nicely!

Wow, what a spectacular example of color and value. You did an outstanding job picking fabrics from your scraps to make this beautiful quilt. I would be more than pleased with the outcome, I'd be ecstatic! You should consider entering into MQX this spring in either the end to end quilting category or if you have never entered before as emerging entrant. It really is that appealing.

Thanks everyone. The pictures are somewhat "deceiving" in terms of not showing the huge number of pieces and variety of scraps in the boats and whales alone. Here's a flashback picture of the construction (many moons ago).
