I found the perfect fabric , then a pattern ( Thank you for all the help everyone). I had never attempted curves before :-o but I think I can live with this. It lays flat and no ripples or puckering.
It is not perfect, But it is mine. This quilt is going to be that much more special to me because I am using the featherweight my grandfather gave me ( It was his mom's) to piece it all together. The Blocks will alternate colors.. I am so excited that this worked out .

I have had the featherweight for about 15 years and until being on this board I never used it but after reading about everyone using theirs I am so glad I decided to .. It sews great!

I'm encouraged that you find the curves doable and even easy. I am a curve-o-phobe. Guess I need to tackle that.

Dmart- I didn't even KNOW what a featherweight was until I joined the board. I got one and it sews like a dream!! :D

Very nice! I can't wait to see it done! How lucky you are to have a featherweight that was in your family. I remember my grandmother having a treadle machine, but no one remembers where it went when she died. I was about 10 years old at the time and had no interest in sewing.
