I wanted to make my18 month old grandson a doll. And thought this would be a good one to do. I did modify the pattern a little, just the face. The pattern is McCalls, and they said to just glue on felt eyes and nose. I thought that looked cheap and after all the work it took to make the rest I did not want that. There are 85 yo-yo's in him, and they took forever. I told my husband not to volunteer me to make one for anyone else, unless they want to pay about 300 bucks. You were also supposed to use nearly a yard of five different fabrics, but I had five yards of lightweight desert camo, so I used that. Now for the real test on the 26th, when Liam opens the present. Will he like it?

Silly monkey

He has such a sweet face, who wouldn't like him. Best use for yoyo's I've seen! What did you "string" them on?

That monkey is so cute and huggable. He will love it and no one else has one like it.

He's very cute. Just consider it "labor", birthing a new gift.
