AAHHhhhhhh, another one joined our bargain hunter group! I've got to go grocery shopping today and thought that a trip to Goodwill wouldn't be that far out of the way. Then if I go to Goodwill, Salvation Army thrift store is nearby...... Our Goodwill sells their fabric for 42 or 72 cents a yard. I've often wondered how they came up with that price.

Looks like you got a marvelous bargain. Congratulations.

when I go in the junk shops I look for large skirts that are cotton or large dresses. They can cut up into a nice size piece of fabric. I also check out the bedding. I have found lap size throws that are one piece of cotton print. Sheets are great for backings on a quilt or for piecing if the sheet is 100% cotton. Larger size blouses can be a source too of good piecing cotton fabric. Also watch for the sales they post. Our Good Will will mark stuff down on certain days.

Well, I'm collecting blues for a blue and yellow quilt, but I don't know about the browns yet.
