There are 12 of us participating in a challenge.....a picture of a pond was cut into equal squares...this is the one I got. None of us has seen the entire picture, only our piece..The only rule is the size, 11x11. The techniques and skill levels will vary so this will be a very interesting art quilt when assembled. I placed strips of fabric around the border just to photograph, they are not part of the completed block.

The lady who suggested the challenge gets to keep the finished quilt. BUT...she is also the one who has to put the pieces together...lol...I don't think I would want that particular task...

It will be interesting to watch for the results..... seems your piece came from a rather beautiful original - wonder if I would have been able to cut it up so easily?

We did that concept on paper in drawing class in college, it turned rather nicely.

I've seen projects done like that, and the results can be very interesting. Please show us the whole thing when it's finished! Your part is very pretty with wonderful fabric choices.
