She did terrific, great job and thank you for sharing. Beautiful little girl. My mom started to teach me at that age. And I am 65 and still love sewing and making quilts.
Have a Blessed day

That is a challenging pattern for her 1st quilt. It looks great. When my grandson at age 8 expressed an interest in making a quilt for his dog, we just did squares.

She is adorable and I love her quilt! That is wonderful! Teaching kids to sew is such a full-filling job. In the end, the child is proud and happy for learning something new and completing a task, the parents is proud and happy that the child is learning a life-long skill, and the teacher feels all of that together. I know since that is what I do for a living, teach kids to sew. But I start them at age 8. So hats off to you, great job, and she'll have that quilt forever to remember her experience with you when making it.
It brings back memories... my nana and I sewed together too,... a long time ago though...

Wow, what a start. Bet she will be hooked for life. How wonderful to be able to share your passion for quilting with a new generation.

How nice! I hope she likes quilting enough that she continues to sew.
