Oh wow, I like them both. I think #1 is more unique and contemporary, and #2 is more traditional. Maybe taking your son's personality into account can help with the decision?

Personally, I'd go with #2, but I'd ask a man. I think #1 might be more appealing to a man for some reason. I love 'em! [P.S. I just asked DH, and he couldn't pick a preference.]
