O what a touching story! Pass the kleenex please! Great memories!
Orange and pink are my favorite combination. Your grand-daughter will love it! I'm downloading the pattern too.
Beautiful quilt, lovely grand daughter and wonderful memories shared by a mom and daughter to be passed down to the next generations.
What an incredible treasure for your granddaughter! I hope she tells her children and grandchildren this story and it passes through the generations. Listening to your experience gave me goose bumps. Thanks for sharing!
So pretty!! I love pink and orange together :)
Very nice story to go with the pretty butterfly quilt. Thanks for sharing.

It's lovely - a very special quilt, especially with what you've told us about it - and will be treasured I'm sure. Gracie knows! (She is beautiful too!)
Wow! that is very pretty
Awesome! I am rather partial to orange and butterflies any ways.
Thank you for your kind words. It's not a masterpiece, just a gift for a little girl!
What a pretty quilt! Gracie looks so sweet.
Gracie is: GRAY - C (C for Cat). She was an offspring of a ferrel cat (wild), and a friend scooped her up. She really isn't a "her", but she's too young to understand that (she's 3). There isn't a wild hair left on Gracie, especially when she's licking my face at night when she's sharing the pillow. She loves to lay on the floor under the sewing machine, catching the long pieces that droop down.Originally Posted by sewnsewer2
I have lots of butterflies in my yard and I will always remember your mother's contribution to her DGGD's quilt whenever I see their delicate *antlers*! I think she did a wonderful job and you and she created a treasure. Thanks for sharing your sweet story.
Such a great story attached to a beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading about great grandma's last quilting job. She not only left great memories, but I can bet she took with her a very nice feeling of having done something fun and lovely for her great grand daughter.

What a beautiful story. Memories have been made and I'm guessing the story of the quilt will be told often. May you have continued peace.
