Thanks for sharing the "story" of this quilt. Brought tears to my eyes. There was a time when my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother (and me) made aprons. The aprons were very simple on an off white fabric with just one pocket. That pocket was the "hat" on the embroidered face of a lady. My great grandmother was having trouble threading her needle so I, at the age of 5, threaded the needle for her. I still have one of the aprons and at the age of 70 still treasurer the memories of that day.
