I posted pictures of my flowers yesterday as one reason for not being on the board lately. Another reason is that I had a family 'quilting retreat' at my house in late June. I had a lot to do the get ready for it. One thing was updating my kitchen and finishing some projects that I wanted to use as displays for the retreat. One sister and I did a tutorial on a French Braid table runner so made some examples. Plus I had to increase the size of my Kitchen table from a 4 seater to a 7 seater. (Accomplished by using a piece of plywood covered with black vinyl). It make my new quilted tablecloths much too small, but we managed anyway.

I am not a good photographer and can't seem to capture the quilting in this tablecloth.

this tablecloth was fun and fast to make

To make the quilting show up, light it from an angle when you take the picture. This gives it the shadows needed.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your using your quilts in your decor. The french braid runners by the door as well as the valance is an awesome use of that pattern and just gorgeous!!! You've got my mind working overtime now trying to figure out what I can do like that. Thanks for sharing!!!

Those are beautiful. The placements of the table runner used as wall hanging is neat. Very creative.

Your a great quilter! For years I quilted and nobody would have known it by the looks of my house because I gave everything I made away! Now I have some things hanging...so there is proof..that I am a quilter...well that is of they don't see my studio now. LOL

Wow! I am going to have to steal your idea of using the french braid tablerunner as a valance! That is a great idea!
