Nellie, on several of the blocks you can cut just a little larger than it calls for and then trim it down to size and also you probably need to be really mindful of that darn...."SCANT" 1/4" . That always give me a problem. Good luck!

Oh and really good luck on the quitting smoking..In May 09...DH and I will have been "nonsmokers" for 2 yrs. We used the patches and we sure are enjoying the non stinky cars/house/clothes..not to mention the "extra" $$$ saved! (of course...I spend mine on fabric! ) If we can do it...you can too...you go girl!

Ladies just wondering how many of you had trouble with your blocks. Are they all measuring 12 1/2 unfinished. We had 2 that were different sizes. Give us your tips for those who are still struggling to make them. A few have come out a bit short.

Let us know what you did to get them 12 1/2!!!!!
Thanks :D :D

Who is mailing there early :?:

I always try to figure out which sides will be my outside seams and I do not trim them until the block is finished. I also try to cut these anywhere from 1/2" to 1 inch larger. Sometimes it takes some figuring to do, but most of the time, it works out great!
