    I think it's an over-edge foot - sort of like serging - for seam finishes. I don't have my book handy...

    ahhhhhhh thank you so much :thumbup:

    I knew it kept pushing my fabric - I was trying to use it as a 1/4" seam foot and it didn't work.

    I'll check this site out to see if they offer a 1/4" foot

    It's foot "C" or overcast stitch on my Janome 8000 its used with stitch 5 sorta like a zig zag on edge of fabric like a serger

    It's also foot letter C on my Elna.... It is an overlock foot for overcast stitches. It is the fastest way to finish an edge mostly for woven fabrics. The little brush on the edge keeps the threads lying flat so the fabric does not pucker.

    It looks like the foot to be used for double overcasting kindof like a serger would. It will sew the seam and overcast the raw edges but you have to choose the stitch to go with that foot.

    looks like an overcast foot to zig zag the edges and do overcast seams in clothes to finish the edges
