Incredible quilts! Incredible talent! I am so in awe of the time, talent, patience, etc. that goes into each of these. Everyone should get a ribbon!

Thank you so much for taking and sharing so many wonderful pics Showbiz! The talent out there is mind boggling. Many of those quilts I have seen before as they have been traveling the show circuit for several years, like Margaret Solomen Gunn's quilt "Twisted Sister". Someday I will get to Paducah for quiltweek. Is the fall BOS still a viewers choice or did they go back to strictly judged? I recall being a bit put off by many major quilters in the final competition asking for votes on social media, their blogs and websites so in my mind it turned into a popularity contest rather than judging the quilt on its merits. Even though people were choosing from a selection the judges had made. For an award as major as the BOS at Paducah, carrying a prize purse of $10K to turn it into a "Vote for me" blitz on the internet just seemed to trivialize it in my mind.

Thank you for posting all these pictures of the lovely, outstanding quilts! I was at the show too and I live in Paducah. Our guild like that this show is less crowded than the Spring show and can walk the show without being overwhelmed with crowds and take pictures easily. Each show is different. The Spring show this year had all the dogwood trees blooming at their peak. Usually their peak is before the show. Come and join us in 2019! The vendors and the instructors are outstanding and you can add to your stash!
