I love to paint and since I got involved in quilting, I don't take the time to paint very often. I have just done three quilts this past month and as I was finishing the binding on the last, I decided to paint. ah, but what subject? use oils or watercolors? And of course, the next quilt is already in my mental process stage. I have a friend who is a shoe nut, so I had decided to try my hand at applique and put one shoe in each 12 inch block. I was not looking forward to doing the applique, machine or hand...just not that interested. But, wait. ah ha!! Why not paint the shoes!! Here is the first one. The birthday is May 4, so I must do a couple a day if I am gonna make it in time..

Lovely. I adore Victorian fashions, so what about a Victorian Lady's high top shoe? They can be lovely. And you can download pictures of extremely expensive high heeled shoes by big names.
Your example shows that you have the talent to paint any kind of shoe you want.
Keep showing us your beauties.

Very nice! I remember when I could wear shoes like that! Too much dancing in too high shoes. Now it hurts to wear them. But I had fun!
