Default Pansy flower fabric for stage 5 drought .....

I just finished a quilt top where the focus fabric is pansy flowers. I bought the fabric because the part of Texas I live in is in year 4 of a drought, and there are no real flowers anywhere...outside watering hasn't been allowed in 2 years. (We had over 100 days of 100+ temperatures in a row the first summer of the drought. That is what started it.) But....enough of our water problems. ...So, I gave myself a quilt full of flowers.

I am pretty pleased with it....(and at the same time I think it looks a bit like a table cloth. ) But, I have artificial daisies in my flower pots out front, and a pansy quilt here inside. Life is good.

Oh, the pattern is Warm Wishes.

Beautiful quilt! So sorry you are having such water problems. I hope your drought will end soon. ((Hugs!))

I love the pansy fabric. Even without a drought, that's the only way I could have them--can't grow them to save my life! Pretty quilt.

Funny! I had pansies once, before the drought, but the raccoons ate them about a week after I planted them. No raccoons after these pansies!
