So, I finally learned how to paper-piece. (thanks for all the helpful hints, Mousie!) And now I am a paper-piecing maniac...anything that's not tied down, I'm paper-piecing.
:-D

I plan on this (below) being a "paper-piecing sampler quilt" when I'm done and I can fit it all together. I am just looking all over the web for paper-piecing patterns, and when I see one I like, I print it out and give it a shot. The biggest block is 18" and the smallest is 3". Some were simple and some had me banging my head on the sewing machine. And yeah, all the paper is still attached. (groan)

Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress.

I am so happy I got to see your pp project as a work in progress. How big are you going to make it? Wow the bright colors remind me of the dutch influence that is up in your neck of the woods. How fun!

Gorgeous colors! I love paper-piecing too and have been lucky to find some great free patterns online.

Thank you! And yes, the Pennsylvania Dutch colors/idea were what I had in mind when I started. I am so glad you said that!

As for how big it will be, well -- til I get tired of doing it, I guess!
