those are quilts.I prefer to make what I feel the urge to make.If it sells -great-if not I have nice presents when needed.I like the freedom to choose fabric and patterns myself.

You're quilts are beautiful and I agree the first one could be peacock colors. If she doesn't want the earth tone colors quilt you could list it on Etsy or maybe on CL. I don't do commission work because it takes the fun out of it for me. Most people don't understand the cost and time involved in making quilts, so she has no idea what she is asking from you. It is extra hard when it is a friend and co worker, before I bought anymore fabric I would make sure that purple is what she wants. Off the subject but many years ago I sold an old car ($300) to a friend, everytime there were mechanical issues she acted like it was my fault.

They are both great but the first one would be peacock colours to me. Live and learn, we've all done it I'm sure.

In 40 years of quilting I did One (1) yes one for money. Never again. It took the joy. I'll just give away. Your work is beautiful. Yikes, I wouldn't be happy with mind-changing, especially after having already bought the fabric. Good luck

I really like the third one - using the camo fabrics - nicest one I've seen using those types of prints.

Can you get this person to go with you and have HER buy the fabrics she wants? Especially since you already bought the fabrics for the earth tone ones and she changed her mind.

Seems like some people think fabric is free to the maker!!!

I haven't seen any peacocks with orange on them - The teals, blues would work - and if one looks carefully at a peacock, there are browns and grays on them, too.
