this is the salisbury window pattern with the michael miller waterfall print behind it. cutting the window leading was very nerve-wracking. next i will fussy-cut some rocks to stack in the right bottom corner then quilt it.

it's a wedding gift for my stepson in Hawaii in February.

wish me luck with the quilting! (Update next picture!)

UPDATE - Finished Quilting, labeling and Binding! with almost 4 weeks to spare before the wedding! Yahoo!

The label reads:
This quilt was made for your new life together forever as husband and wife. Congratulations and Much Happiness

thanks ladies!

I'm sticking with the instructions and appliqué-stitching (small zig-zag) around the leading. then on the borders i have some variegated thread to weave/cross-wave up and down and across (in the blue/greens).

Stunning! What a lot of work so far! It was worth it! Be careful quilting it! The plan sounds like a winner!

You did a fabulous job!!! I just did one of these and they are alot of work. So the next one has the black bias tape that you can iron down to make the window. Much faster even if its cheating :):)
