I finished the top of the WH (now a couch throw). I had one of my "signature moments" so had to rearrange my borders. I wanted the outside border to be brown and the inside blue but didn't have enough of the brown for the wider, larger border so there came the "design change".

I am pleased with it but am scared to death to put it on my gracie and quilt it.

The pic of the dog is made up of 16 - 6 inch squares (4 x 4) so is 24 x24 inches. I decided not to add a window pane effect cuz I don't think the seams are that noticeable (sp?). Am tempted to put a crystal in the bottom of the white of the eye.

Also, including this quilt top, I have never sewn a half square triangle, I am a little shy of that type, afraid of the bias edges and the stretch. I use Jodi Barrows SnS for triangles.

OMG!! It is beautiful just the way it is! Was that a large photo of the dog? I got lost somewhere...why is the dog made up of smaller squares? Anyway...whyever or however, you did an amazing job...now girl...put that thing in the gracie and get to quilting!

(be sure to post a finished pic of it too!)

The dog was an ordinary photo I took on my digital camera, brought it into Corel PhotoPaint and enlarged it to 24" x 24", then cut that into 6" squares, 16 (4 x 4) of them. So, the center pic of the dog ended up being about 23 3/4 inches square.

How clever are you...that is truly inspirational...I have just bought a better printer to get into photo fabric printing...so I will be bookmarking this for future reference.

Your boxer is gorgeous by the way, fantastic work :D :D :D

Really neat quilt!!! I love how you did the photo of the dog. I have never tried to do anything that big, but you have inspired me! The border is great. I am glad that you did not have enough of one of your fabrics to do the border the way you originally planned. I think this border is so much better!! Thanks for posting!!
