i did this quilt for some special friends,, it is of their travels to the beaches and beyond... it was a surprise gift for xmas 2007...

pictures turned into a family treasure

That's really nice! Of course, me being from the San Francisco Bay Area, I'll bet you can guess which panel is my favorite! (Hint it's 'Golden')

the pictures are my friends in NC. they sent me a ton and i made choices of what i wanted to use. i used fabric and printed them on the printer.. (there is a process you go thru to make the pictures last and not fade).
if you are interested just let me know and i can give you names of products that i used...

I have made some pillows with pictures I printed on fabric. About 7 years ago my sister, her DH, me and myDH all took a trip and at one place we visited a wildflower farm. Got some great pictures and for Christmas that year I made her some pillows using the pictures. They are still holding the color so was very pleased with the result. I will be trying the quilt--that a great idea.
