I made this set of placemats for my daughter and her two roommates. They're seniors at Boston U. and I spent a delightful week in September helping them move in. All three girls had great experiences last year studying abroad in Ireland, Denmark and Ecuador, respectively. I made each one a flag of their adopted country, and coordinated the fabric for the 'front' side to the colors in their flag. (Made one of the good ol' USA to make a set of 4!) They seem to prefer the flag sides, although I meant that to be the 'back'! Makes me so happy to see their reactions, even tho I'm 3,000 miles away!

    Loving their mats!

That is such a nice thing to do for them! Those are going to get a lot of use I'm sure!! Did you include 4 packages of ramen noodles to go with it? :D
