Default Pictures of a Virginia Tech quilt I made my son

I've had the material forever and was afraid to start - wondering how it would look with mainly all maroon and orange material like he wanted. And it's hard to find fabric that isn't feminine. I made his a sample pot holder and liked it, so it gave me the incentive to start. I started in August of last year. He didn't want a queen-size, thank goodness. I got really tired of those tiny half square triangles. He was thrilled with his quilt, and I was pleased too.

Oh my you have a lot of patience doing all those HSTs! But you have a gorgeous quilt as a result.

I like it very much - those HST would have driven me crazy, but you did a great job with it. (I would like to insert a college rivalry reference here involving old gold and black's superiority, but I would hate to offend anybody...)

Really beautiful quilt. I grew up in Lexington. Went to Lexington Senior High and graduated in 1973. What high school did you attend? I have lived near Hickory for the past 32 years.
