Try a search for a PP mouse and runn it around the edge. I sure there must be one out there. Very nice pattern you have made.

I love them both, especially the planned one, although I think I would like it better with a narrow outside plain border added.

I am not sure if you got yuor question answered but it appears that your border drawing is more in tune with the quilt center than the small pieced block border. Since this is very modern, I would want a modern border---the zigzag or something w/ a bold print such as Kaffe. designs I do like your quilt, however.
Or place a flange inbetween the border you just created.
