Default Pillowcase quilt finished!

I just finished my pillowcase quilt! The pillowcases were embroidered by my mom, my grandma and my hubby's great aunt. Special thanks to grandmajuki for letting me know the size of the pillowcase blocks on the quilt she quilted for a friend! 18" - that was very helpful information to this beginner quilter! It is so nice to have this quilt made as the old linens don't last forever in the linen closet. Although I'm just learning how to do free motion, I decided to do free motion all over this quilt. Thinking about the ladies doing the embroidery by hand stopped me from using my embroidery machine to do any quilting lines. I have an antique dresser in the same room so that should go together well. Perhaps it needs a runner to match or one made from antique hankies!

I just added another photo - showing the embroidered blocks perhaps a bit better with the quilt laying against the sofa.

I just love quilts like this! Now you can enjoy it on display instead of your heirlooms being in a closet.

Thank you! I wanted to add a photo of the quilt on the bed but have run into problems doing so.

That is a great idea. I have one or two that a friend made and I was wondering what to do. Since I don't have many I guess I could make a pillow. Thanks for the idea and I love your quilt.
