Mary, finally found this post of your Pineapple Blossom, I love it. Will have to try this one too. Seems like it is like a tradional pattern but could be made with a modern twist. I have a wedding coming up and they are a yound modern couple, so something like that could suit them.

Both quilts are stunning. Thanks for sharing.

I need to declare war on my scraps. I have 44 shoeboxes full of scraps and fat quarters. I also have 15 yards of muslin. You have given me inspiration...

Great quilts. I just love Bonnie's patterns. I am also on a mission to use up scraps and almost all the quilts I am making this year are scrappy. Going to be Christmas presents for family, kinda the same but different as I am using some of the same fabric scraps in each. I am doing alot of the patterns from Quiltville. I really like the bricks pattern, would be great for some of the guys in the family.

The big question is: did your scrap pile grow or shrink??

Bonnie Hunter was at our guild 3 mos ago for a class called "Star Struck." I bought Scraps & Shirttails II & have Bricks In The Barnyard ready to go to the longarmer. So far, I have done 3 of her quilts & would like to do Orca Bay. I now search garage sales for mens X-XXL shirts for fabrics & have gotten 6 for $1 each. Also found a new pair of ladies pj's for $1. The only thing I wish I could buy is Bonnie's energy!! She is an awesome lady & her classes are a hoot. Your quilts are gorgeous. The pineapple one is my favorite. Her scrap system really works!

The pineapple one is one of those Escher paintings, where when you look one way and you see pineapples, when you look another way, you see squares and flying geese.
    Amazing accomplishment.
I could look at this one forever!

They are both beautiful. Can't decide which I like best. The Pineapple has such movement and love all the colors. The bricks & stones is so soothing in those lovely earthy colors. You've picked a wonderful spot to photograph them. Really shows them off.

Really nice, Mary. I am drawn to the darker colors and great pattern in the first one with just a touch of red. Great!
