I went to her website and looked at the pattern - I like yours so much better! And it looks so different in her rendition than yours!

Here is another version of the same pattern. I used it as an over sized baby quilt a few years ago. The little guy was nearly two years old when I got to see him, so he got a bigger quilt. This Bonnie Hunter was one of the easier patterns I have done from her collection. The top was completed during part of a week-end retreat and I used a jelly roll rather than 2" strips. .

Hunter's Pineapple Blossom pattern was my 1st scrappy quilt ever. Fell in love with it as I'm a more organized type person so making it scrappy was so out of my comfort zone. Since then I love scrappy. Made another one but in controlled scrappy. Haven't made the pattern in recent years but its one of my favorites. Your's is to die for too. Can understand why your sister fell in love with it.

Here are the 2 I made both went out as gifts for weddings. The last photo shows the quilting pattern I used for both of them. The last photo shows the backside of the red/black/silver. Used red thread and it made the back pop. 1st time using colored thread too and haven't gone back to white thread for quilting since.

Lovely! I can see why your sister claimed it for her living room.
