Your quilting will be what defines the pinwheels in the center. You will have to custom quilt them to achieve this (my opinion). I hope to see it after you have finished the quilting.

Ellen, I plan to SID around each pinwheel which will hopefully work. Hardly anyone has a LA over here in UK as houses are not big enough (and quilting is not as popular) so it is all custom quilting on domestic machines anyway.

I see. If you quilt something different around each pinwheel, that will separate them and make them stand out like you want. You can repeat the different motifs on other pinwheels, just not touching each other. :-)

I am looking forward to see your quilt after you finish quilting it.

I believe you’re right but I couldn’t find a reasonably priced supplier over here.
