What did you put in the center of each 3D pinwheel. I am afraid to put a button on a baby quilt, but something needs to be in the middle. I can't quite make out what you used. I've been practicing makeing them and now feel ready to make a quilt.

I tacked the centers on my machine and then did french knots, and tied the two tails in the back with a square knot. Tacking the centers down on the machine was a mistake as using cotton crochet required a bigger needle and I had a hell of a time going through the tacking. Tacking is not worth it. Next time, I would do one or the other. Probably machine tacking the center of pinwheel on seam is what I would do next time. Can't wait to see yours. They are so fun to make and go pretty fast.
