Last Christmas I made placemats for all my family and friends. I cut me out a set but never got them made. I am taking them with me to the retreat I'm going to next and maybe I can get them sewn together. I borrowed this one I made for a friend to refresh my memory as to how they were put together.

Those are really nice Bdor. Where did you find the pattern for that? I'm thinking those would make nice Christmas place mats with the right fabric. I love the quilting on it BTW. You did a great job.

Beautiful placemats - the fruit in the fabric looks so lucious.

Thanks, I saw these in a quilt shop in Mountain View, Ark. about 3 years ago. She did not have a pattern. Youse a kaleido-ruler and cut your wedges. For this you use the 16" block mark on the ruler. You use fat quaters and you get can get wedges to make two placemats from each fat quater. So for 4 place mats you need 2 fat quaters of the fruit fabric and 2 fat quaters of the solid. Just cut a circle and applique it in the center after they are sewn. I backed mine out of the solid fabric.
