I stopped buying batting at the local stores (ok, when I COULD buy at local stores) and started buying batting by the HUGE rolls from Joanns.
Instead of paying something like $8/yard, I would buy in bulk and pay only $4/yard. Then, included I would get FREE shipping, so that was a plus. Just gotta keep looking every week. Last one I bought was for a gift for a friend. Got her the 90 wide by 40 feet for $125.

I think that they all look great.
The batting at Walmart is okay.........that is if your Walmart still has batting. Our WM has a small fabric department and I noticed the other day that they got rid of all of their batting. Darn it all. Our closest Joanns is 60 miles away.
oh? ok i'll try it that way..... Is the batting at walmart any good?

I know what you mean about having so many things you want to do. I have so many quilts in my head now I think I need to write them down before I forget them! Why not make a pillow with your pinwheel block??? Sometimes when I get frustrated or bored with a larger project, a small one that I actually have hopes of completing is just the trick!

Very nicely done. Great points, corners and color combos. You have a good eye for all the above, Bevanger. Now, to put it together in a scrappy quilt. :!: :!: Have fun and keep experimenting.   Pam W.
