Thread: Portrait of our dogs

    Here's a sample of one of my play time projects. I wanted to try this technique for some time and after completing two large quilts, I decided it was time. Pure fun! This began with a photo of the dogs which was manipulated on the computer to a black/white line drawing. I used NeoColorII crayons to color the dogs and lastly, thread painted the faces.

    Your thread painting is beautiful, It looks like you can actually see the fur on your dogs. I have a couple of books on how that is done, one day I hope to get around to doing it. Your work is very encouraging.
