This I made for my Aunt who is going through kemo for lung cancer. I wanted it to be a peaceful quilt to keep her warm and know that she is loved. The doves are machine embroidered and I just did some 10 min. blocks for the center. I made it with a lot of love but, unfortunately, I CAN NOT say I love the way it turned out. It's not the fabric, that I like, and I like the embroidered panels, but the quilt in whole just didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Having said all that, I know it will be cherished and loved by my Aunt and that is all that matters. She is the important one.

Beautiful workmanship, sentiment and gift. She is blessed to have you make this for her. Thank you for sharing.

I'm sure she'll love it knowing that so much love went into it. Maybe it's the dark colours, you don't like. But that's exactly what appeals to me - the dark colours are strong and strength is what your aunt needs.

It is wonderful looking! Like me, you've probably just looked at it so much. It will look better to you in a day or soon. Your Aunt will love it. Hope she does well with chemo.

I know she will love it! We are ALL so CRITICAl of our own work, that honestly, we can always find SOMETHING wrong with it! But if it was made for the love for a person, or the love of just making it. Then I will say this, the person who recieves it will love it more than you could! It is a beautiful quilt and you should be proud of it!!
